ARCH Donation to National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI)

NSRI Station 18 Melkbosstrand is a rescue service run by unpaid volunteers, who are on call day and night throughout the year, dropping whatever they are busy with to respond to the call for help from a stranger. Funding an organisation of this nature is a challenging task – training, maintenance, crew insurance, boats, vehicles, protective gear, fuel and medical equipment are just some of the expenses.
The NSRI is largely funded by private individuals and corporate sponsors. Fundraising events is an important means of strengthening the coffers. One such annual event of Station 18 is the Adventure Day hosted at Koeberg Nature Reserve. It is the only day of the year that 4×4 vehicles are allowed on the sensitive dunes and therefore very popular with 4×4 enthusiasts, beyond the Western Cape.
Arch contributed R20,000 to this worthy cause and is proud to be the 2018 day-naming sponsor of the event – 2018 Arch/NSRI Adventure 4×4 Day. The event took place early in September and as always was very well supported with a sell-out attendance of 150 vehicles. We as a company are proud to be involved with assisting the NSRI to achieve their vision of “Saving Lives, Changing Lives and Creating Futures”.
