Arch Warrior in the ABSA Cape Epic

Paul Gleed, Business Development Manager at Arch tackled the ABSA Cape Epic cycle race recently. It is no coincidence that the race has ‘Epic’ in the name… Thought it was best for Paul to tell the story himself:
“I recently took part in the 2021 Absa Cape Epic with Juan Weyers, this journey started back in 2019 but due to covid the event was postponed numerous times. This was my second Cape Epic and Juan’s 1st, him being the Newbie. In summary: 8 days, 620 kilometres, 15 350 metres of vertical ascent. Rugged mountain dual tracks and rocky single tracks through pristine fynbos. Sandy farm roads between manicured orchards. Bone-rattling descents off ancient mountain ranges. We completed the race in a total of 41 hrs of riding, 88th place in men and 163rd place in GC.”
Spinnaker salutes Paul and Juan on their achievement. You wore the Arch brand with distinction!
