Checkmart on the Move

One of Arch’s business partners, the Checkmart Group in KZN, has recently opened a store in The Wheel Shopping Centre in Durban’s CBD. It brings their number of sites where Arch Retail (our in-store management solution) is running, to 12. 

The store was converted from a Pick n Pay to the signature Checkmart store design. Apart from groceries, it offers customers top-quality products from service departments such as Butchery, Bakery, Deli and Fruit & Veg. 

The store has 10 POS points. Each POS point offers integrated EFT (FNB Direct) and pre-paid airtime (Glocell) for the convenience of the shopper.

All stores in the group are already running on Arch Enterprise (AE), our centralised merchandise management solution, with this store now being added to the grid. 

Arch Mobile, which facilitates on-the-floor management of receiving and in-store stock management, has also been implemented.
