Implementations during lockdown

The countrywide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic caused widespread disruption and economic hardship. The entire Spinnaker team faced challenges never experienced before. The branch operations particularly had to weather trying conditions to continue servicing their stores.
Even though we anticipated minimal new store implementations because of health considerations, we were happy to be proven wrong. Good joint planning between our teams and clients, a spirit of nothing will get us down, and a mutual drive to build business contributed to increasing numbers of stores being successfully rolled out.

Good joint planning between our teams and clients, a spirit of nothing will get us down, and a mutual drive to build business contributed to increasing numbers of stores being successfully rolled out.

From 26 March to date, 45 new stores went live on Arch countrywide – representing 275 Arch points. It required true grit and dedication of our implementation teams, for which we salute them. We also thank our client base for their commitment and support to make it possible.

One such store is Pick ‘n Win, a supermarket in Isipingo (KZN), which went live on 18 June. Implementing this monster store, with its 50 POS and 12 BO points, was no mean feat. As a result of the implementation, the store now offers integrated EFT at all till-points. We honour Vishen Chetty, Pranesh Murally and Douglas Ncobela for the smooth roll-out, and André Swart from head office for the quality work with establishing a solid store database.
In the words of Farouk Jadwat, the owner: “The professionalism and commitment of the Arch team in delivering a challenging implementation are applauded.”
