RCL Factory Stores

RCL was founded in 1960 as Rainbow Chickens, one of the oldest and best known foods brands in South Africa. The modern RCL is owned by Remgro (78%) and includes Foodcorp, Rainbow Chickens, TSB and Vector Logistics.
.
The Rainbow Chickens processing units countrywide have a factory shop attached to it, where the locals can buy frozen chicken products as well as products from the other sister companies, e.g. Yum Yum peanut butter, Nola products, Selati Sugar, Ouma Rusks, etc.

.
Hammersdale (Pietermaritzburg) was the first of these stores where Arch was implemented in 2010 as the retail solution of choice – see attached photos of the store. In the interim, more of these stores were opened countrywide. Recently two more stores, namely RCL Spartan and RCL Boksburg have gone live on Arch Retail. This brings the number of RCL factory shops running on Arch, to eight. As the business grew, Arch Enterprise our HO merchandise management solution, was implemented to enhance centralised management control and overall operational efficiency. We are proud to be business partners of RCL!
