New Saverite Opens in Mozambique

Masscash, a division of Massmart, has expanded its presence in Mozambique with the April opening of a newly built Saverite store in the district of Xai Xai, 200km from Maputo. The 5,500 m2 store, caters for businesses and communities in the surrounding area, and is the country’s biggest wholesaler outside of Maputo. Masscash has made this investment with the local communities in mind – servicing the customers’ needs, creating jobs and also supporting local suppliers.

The store is run on Arch Software and the implementation of Arch was preceded with the translation of the till point interface into Portuguese. The store was successfully opened through the close co-operation between the Spinnaker and Masscash project teams. We wish our partners all the best with the new addition!
