Macksons Group Goes from Strength to Strength

The KZN based Macksons Group, with their Head Office in Estcourt, is a longstanding Arch User since their first store (Macksons Cash & Carry) went live in February 2006. Since then the business has grown to one cash & carry, three convenience stores and eight supermarkets all using Arch, consisting of 178 POS of a total of 249 Arch supported points. . In addition to Arch Retail (in-store system), the stores also use Arch Value Adds, namely integrated EFT for accuracy and efficiency and virtual airtime at POS for convenience of shoppers.  Arch Enterprise, the Head Office Merchandising solution, was implemented 5 years ago, playing an important role in centrally managing their multi-store operation.

The latest addition to the group is Macksons Bergville Supervalue, representing the group’s new look/new store design. The store retails groceries and offers service department (butchery, bakery & fresh produce) products on the ground floor and home appliances, DIY and automotive accessories on the upper floor. The store runs 20 Arch POS and 5 Arch Back Office licenses. We wish Ashraf Manack and his team all the best with the new store and we are proud to be a business partner of this dynamic group.
